Fun, Food and Oopsies

The Alabama Chicken and Egg Festival was fun. We had a good time. There did not seem to be as many people there compared to the last couple of years. Lots of good music, food and entertainment. It was very educational. My favorite part is the Chicken Clucking Contest. Very funny!

After we left Mike and I went to John's Bar-b-que. It is a nice place to eat. They have just about anything that you want to eat there. They have everything from pinto bean plates to hotwings to seafood. I had the boneless hot wing basket. It was $5.99 It had plenty of food in the basket. It came with 2 hushpuppies, lots of fries and 8 wings. I hope we start going there. The one we went to is on Court Street. It is an old log cabin that was moved from Wren. It was restored to original style and then the back section was added on. They have antiques everywhere. You won't get board waiting on your food. You'll be to busy looking around at all the things on the walls.

Well we once again had a tornado just down the road. Two businesses on Highway 157 just outside of Moulton were damaged. Classical fruits was hit badly. The whole front wall of the building was pulled off and the pine thicket where the Strawberry Festival is held was damaged. They are working on clearing away the broken pines this week. The First weekend in May they are supposed to have the Strawberry Festival. It may be called off now.

Once again a friend of Mike's has died unexpectedly. Ronnie was just 42 and died from a heart attack. I know his 2 boys will really miss him a lot. Ronnie had asked Mike to plow up his garden for him. Mike never got a chance to do it. I'm sure Mike feels badly about that.
I hate finances. I wish that was one part of life I never had to deal with. Once again I bounced checks. I drive my self crazy doing that. I do have an excuse. Kind a sort of. I had a rotten cold a couple of weeks back. I felt horrible. I'm still not back to normal myself fully. Still that is not a great excuse. I have been back on my feet well over a week now. I could have caught everything back up. Maybe I have finally learned my 'lisson' and Brandon use to say.
